#15/20 – Don’t wait until it’s perfect
I’m 15 days into posting every day on LinkedIn.
Is it worth it?
Well, I haven’t made a million dollars yet.
And I haven’t changed the world either.
But I have learned a thing or two about LinkedIn, and about myself.
The biggest lesson for me so far:
Don’t wait until it’s perfect.
There’s always that moment before I share anything.
Where I pause and doubt whether it’s good enough.
Is it perfect yet? 😰
There are about 5.52 billion people online.
It feels like they’re all jacked up on Red Bull, ready to pounce on the slightest error and banish me to the internet hall of shame.
It feels paralysing.
It feels real.
And it’s complete bollocks.
Perfect is never the goal.
The web works best when it’s a conversation.
Back and forth.
It’s like tennis — you can’t play on your own.
You have to serve the ball if you want to get in the game.
Keep your eyes open.
Be ready for what comes back.
This whole internet thing is the same.
You’ve gotta start somewhere, then watch and adapt.
I don’t have all the answers.
I don’t have a perfect, crystal clear 10 year vision.
I’m not even 100% sure what I’ll post here tomorrow.
But I think that’s okay.
I’m moving.
Building momentum.
I’m in the game, and I’m learning.
It’s not perfect yet, but it doesn’t have to be.
I know more now than I did 15 days ago.
So yeah, it’s definitely worth it.
And the biggest lesson for me is:
Don’t wait until it’s perfect.
⚡️ #15/20 Website tips for people people
Every day for 20 days, I’ll aim to share a little insight about websites, what they’re for and how to make better ones.
I make websites for people people.
If you’re a people person, I hope it makes you think differently about your website.
